Bleach Free Fruit Washing

Fruit needs to be washed in order to remove dirt and mud but also to remove traces of pesticide or insecticide as well as traces of any pathogens. To wash fruit large amounts of bleach are used. Hence washed fruit today is harmful either way: from incomplete cleaning and/or from traces of bleach harmful to the consumer – this is far from ideal.

With a nanobubble generator fruit farmers can efficiently clean the produce with ozone saturated water. This disinfects and cleans the fruit but leaves no harmful substance behind: the ozone breaks down to form oxygen. This saves total water use and provides cleaner and safer products to the consumer.
